“Lost in the Blues”

Artist Statement

Inspired by the contrast of warm and cool lighting that are often used to evoke emotion in films, "Lost in the Blues" captures the struggle to maintain a balance of both within life.

Elí Mon is a Mexican American artist who is always ready to explore any and all types of art and has led her into studying Film Studies at UNC Wilmington. Since she discovered her passion for art, she uses it as a way to express herself in ways that words are unable to. Her curiosity and challenges of the world power her art while she continues to explore any and all its mediums and hopes to inspire others along the way.
